What home plumbing cover actually is.
Home Advantage Cover is a monthly membership for homeowners in Leicester and the East Midlands. You pay a small fixed amount each month, and when something goes wrong with the plumbing in your home you call our 24 hour helpline and a local engineer comes out. There is no separate call-out fee, and there is no limit on how many times you can call us.
It is delivered by AFS Plumbing and Heating, a local plumbing and heating firm, so the engineer at your door works for the same company you pay. That is the difference between us and a national provider: no call centre, no subcontractor you have never heard of, and no waiting days for someone to travel to you.
Most households join after a bad experience: a burst pipe on a Sunday, a blocked toilet in a house full of guests, or a call-out charge that cost more than the repair. Cover from £4.99 a month means the next one is already paid for.

What it costs

What to do while you wait for an engineer
- Turn the water off.Your internal stop tap is usually under the kitchen sink, in a downstairs cupboard or near the front door. Turn it clockwise.
- Open the cold taps.Running the taps drains what is left in the pipes and slows the leak.
- Keep electrics clear of water.If water is near sockets or lights, switch that circuit off at the consumer unit.

I came home to find water pouring from the loft tank overflow. He was with me within 40 minutes of the call. He quickly located what was wrong, sourced a new part, collected it, and fixed the problem within 2 hours of the call-out. His prompt response averted what could have been a very serious situation.
Really pleased with the service. Turned up when they said they would, sorted the problem quickly, and explained everything clearly. Friendly, professional, and didn't leave any mess behind. Fair price too. Would definitely use them again.
Zach came out urgently for a leak under our kitchen sink. He was very professional, kept us informed at all times and got the job done. Highly recommend.
